18th May 2016Wealth Management company releases Financial Highlights Interims 2016
23rd May 2016Following an update in equipment and change in office systems, wealth management company Brewin Dolphin Exeter, donated stationery no longer required to the firm’s charity of the year, Hospiscare. The items will go on sale on-line via the charity’s ebay shop to help raise much needed funds
The hoard of stationery, including toners, Ink cartridges and envelopes, were hand-delivered to the hospice in Exeter by Brewin’s Divisional Director Jon Crompton and Assistant Director, Rhiannon Cox. The local charity’s on-line shop sells a variety of donated items, such as jewellery, rare books, CDs, home wares and even quirky pieces, like a recent Vintage Brass Ship’s extendable periscope!
Jon Crompton, Divisional Director – Exeter Office comments: “The staff are very much behind supporting our charity of the year, and following the change in office systems, we had a surplus of unwanted stationery. The team thought it would be a great idea to donate this to Hospiscare so they could sell it through their on-line shop to help raise money.”
Hospiscare delivers specialist palliative care, easing pain for people with terminal illnesses and providing emotional and social support to their loved ones. Working across Exeter, mid and east Devon, the local charity cares for patients and is there to help people make the most of their lives during the limited time they have left.
Richard Cousins – Hospiscare, Corporate Relationships Manager said: “We are delighted to be Brewin Dolphin’s Charity of the Year for 2016, and the whole team at the Exeter office are fully behind the ethos of the care we provide to patients and their families. The donated envelopes will help keep down our stationery costs and we can sell the ink cartridges through our online shop. It’s little acts of thoughtfulness such as this that can make a real difference to the charity, with the funds going directly towards patient care.” He adds: “Brewin Dolphin are also very supportive of our larger fundraising events and joint sponsors of our ‘Proms at Bicton Park’, taking place at Bicton Gardens in East Budleigh on 22nd July. This exciting picnic in the park event promises to be a wonderful, musical evening and includes opera, a brass band, and stunning firework finale. We are very grateful for everything that Brewin Dolphin are doing for Hospiscare in 2016, their support will make a big difference to the care we can provide to patients and their families.”
