Independent developer C G Fry & Son Ltd. is holding an open weekend to assist ‘Help to Buy’ purchasers on the final six homes available at its Hillcrest development, located in the desirable St. John’s Road in the popular sea-side town of Exmouth.

The *’Help to Buy’ Equity Loan scheme (*see Notes to Editor) helps first time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder to purchase a new-build home. The government-backed initiative was set up to help new and existing home owners to purchase a property with as little as a 5% deposit.

To date the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme has helped around 50,000 people to buy a new home and the majority of sales were to first-time buyers representing 83% of total sales.

Gwenda Beckley, Stakeholder Manager, of Help to Buy South West says: “”Help to Buy’ is helping thousands of house buyers to purchase their first home or to move up the property ladder. The open weekend organised by C G Fry & Son is a great initiative to assist potential buyers to find out more about the Government scheme from local experts.”

The development design comprises streetscapes of detached and semi-detached homes in brick and render with slate and tiled roofs and some cedar clad properties in keeping with the local area.

Taking centre stage is the original Withycombe House.Built in the early nineteenth century, the Grade II listed property, originally constructed in a Gothic villa tradition, has been restored to its former glory and converted into luxury accommodation.
