The Government’s Industrial Strategy aims to maximise the advantages for UK industry from the global shift to clean growth with a mission to ‘at least halve the energy use of new buildings by 2030’. Innovate UK’s 170m ‘Transforming Construction’ programme will help drive the necessary innovation to achieve this goal.

It is envisaged this will be achieved through improved design, clean heating, and innovative energy management systems that help reduce costs.

Over the next decade, it is expected that around 500k sqft of commercial buildings will be developed in Greater Exeter.

This one-day summit, focuses on ‘Planning for Change in Commercial Property Development’ on the 21st of November 2018 will outline the drivers of change and development philosophies before considering how the South West might respond.

Public, private and third sector delegates from the commercial property sector (developers, designers, planners, constructors, financiers and agents) will gain an appreciation of the drivers of and opportunities arising from clean growth as well as the chance to network with key decision makers.
