Hidden away above The Oddfellows in Exeter, is the Speakeasy. Despite being the city’s oldest cocktail joint, their approach to cocktails is refreshingly modern. Celebrating 10 years of the Speakeasy, the team have taken it upon themselves to educate the masses on 50 classic cocktails to make us all masters when it comes to ordering at the bar. But fear not! For those of you wanting to try something a little different, there are 20 original Oddfellow’s concoctions to try and master too. One of our favourites is the Pink Peppercow. This Oddfellows creation puts Dorset produced Black Cow Vodka centre stage to produce a short, well-balanced tipple with a peppery, yet smooth heat. Black Cow Vodka comes from the Barber family, the world’s oldest surviving cheddar makers who have been making cheese and producing milk for over 200 years. True experts in their field, they’ve now turned their hand to vodka resulting in a beautifully clean, mineral-free spirit perfect for mixing as it allows subtle and delicate flavours to shine through. So if you’re on the hunt for a new signature cocktail this summer or just fancy trying something a bit different – look no further than the Pink Peppercow!
