10th November 2015Exeter-based PR & Marketing consultancy, Glen King PR launched the first of its new series of quarterly Technical Breakfasts held at Lloyd’s Kitchen, aimed at members of the Construction industry. The independently-run consultancy, which recently celebrated 10 years in business, boasts a diverse portfolio of clients across all sectors, with a specialist knowledge of the construction industry. The technical focused groups are targeted to small groups of up to 20 invited guests and sponsored by a host speaker with expertise in their individual field.
The theme of the inaugural Technical Breakfast was “Endothermic-Solar” hosted by Minus 7. Winner of the Energy Awards 2014, Minus 7 is a hybrid system that combines a solar endothermic roof water to water heat pump and thermal stores to provide all heating and hot water needs. Revolutionising the heating sector with a zero net carbon output and very low running costs, the Minus 7 heating system is the most efficient and cost effective renewable technology system available for social housing and larger developments. Organised and created by Glen King PR, Alastair Hunter, Chief Technology Officer and Hamish Wilson, CEO of the Isle of Wight based company presented to the first networking group on how using a Minus 7 heating system is visually unobtrusive, unrestricted by orientation and resourcefully green.
David Greensmith – Business Development Director – Glen King PR said: “We have a large construction-based portfolio of clients and felt there was a real need in the local area, for industry experts to cover a wide range of topics to a core group. The interest in the first of these seminars has been very strong and as a result we are now looking to run these on a quarterly basis. Initially the events will be aimed at technical services and hosted by our construction clients, however we feel confident that going forward we will introduce other sectors and sponsors.”
Hamish Wilson – CEO – Minus 7 adds “We were delighted to be invited to be the first presenter and host of the Exeter Technical Breakfasts organised by Glen King PR. It was very successful and proved to be a great way for us to meet local construction-based contacts and showcase our ground-breaking technology and design. Having worked with Glen King PR on a retainer basis since the beginning of 2015, we have been pleased with how they have raised our profile across the region, creating some excellent business development opportunities. As our technology integrates seamlessly into each building with dedicated design installation and aftercare services, this was a fantastic platform to present to a focused group of interested parties and sparked a great deal of conversation, leading to potential projects which are now in the pipeline.”
