SW Construction Consultants celebrate 70th anniversary at two platinum events in Devon
25th September 2017Sefton Hall are finalists for the prestigious Caring UK Awards!
26th September 2017Construction Consultants NPS South West (https://www.nps.co.uk/) deliver a comprehensive and flexible range of property services tailored to meet the needs of public and private sector clients. NPS South West have worked with GKPR on a retained basis since Spring 2015.
The Project:
NPS South West completed a 1.4m classroom extension project at Highweek Primary and Nursery school in Newton Abbot in Summer ’16. The two-phased development of extra accommodation, looked to provide 420, 5 – 11 year primary places with the 14 classrooms, plus nursery, school and children’s centre remaining operational throughout construction, with minimal disruption to staff and pupils. The new build was contained as a separate site, whereas the alterations to the main school had to be partly carried out whilst the school was in use. NPS worked with the contractor and client to facilitate a secure working zone, keeping the public safe, and disruption to a minimum.
This scheme is part of a major, 1.9m capital investment programme at Highweek Primary School by Devon County Council to increase school places across the county to meet the growing primary school population.
The Brief:
The school organised an official opening ceremony by the local Mayor in the autumn of 2016. Since that launch event, the project has received no further press coverage. The brief to GKPR was to re-ignite interest in the project and drive awareness of the work of NPS South West through targeted press, event management and content.
The Solution:
GKPR put together an integrated campaign based around the concept ‘Back to school for Property Consultants’. This campaign aimed to build ongoing coverage by staging an event where NPS revisited the school and met with the Head Teacher and Teaching Staff to ensure that the project had met requirements, 12 months from completion of the scheme.
GKPR managed all aspects of the campaign event management on the day as well as providing engaging content for NPS South West to use in their own marketing activity. This included short form video for social media and digital channels based on interviews facilitated by GKPR Director, David Greensmith with key staff from NPS and the school. Crucially, the campaign also achieved coverage in The Exeter Daily, Torquay Herald Express and Express & Echo as well as across social media channels.
