Multi-award-winning Home Instead Senior CareExeter and East Devon, specialising in the highest-quality care for older people in the comfort of their own homes, has been awarded the top accolade of 5-stars in ‘The Best Employer in Care Awards 2018’.

The annual survey invites office staff, CAREGivers and clients to give anonymous feedback on their experience of Home Instead Senior Care. Organised by independent research company WorkBuzz, formerly known as Smith + Henderson, the awards are based on results from participation in ‘Pursuing Excellence by Advancing Quality’ (PEAQ) programme.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Care Quality Commission (CQC), Home Instead Senior Care Exeter and East Devon owned and operated by co-directors Mark and Vanessa McGlade, has won multiple awards over the years, with no less than five in 2018 including including the Devon & Cornwall ‘Outstanding Care Awards Quality Supplier of the Year’. Mark McGlade – Managing Director said: “Vanessa and I are absolutely delighted to be allocated the top 5-star top award.” He adds: “We truly value the views of our clients and CAREGivers and are very grateful to everyone who took part in the survey, particularly as we’re constantly striving to offer the best care possible in Exeter and East Devon. It’s important to us also, to fully support our wonderful care and administration teams, who we are extremely proud of. With more than 100 staff we had an incredible 100% of our employees participate in the survey and we want to take this opportunity to thank them for taking the time and giving us useful feedback helping us to continuously improve the quality of service we offer.”

Steven Frost, CEO of WorkBuzz– the awards organisers said: “We would like to congratulate Home Instead Senior Care Exeter and East Devonas a 5 Star Employer. What makes this award extra special is it’s based on feedback from all of their CAREGivers and is only awarded to the top 10% of companies that enter the ‘Best Employers in Care Awards’. The care sector too often receives negative publicity – in contrast Home Instead Senior Care has a strong culture whereby CAREGivers have the right support and training; are well led and have a firm commitment to deliver outstanding care.”
