Award-winning independent developer releases new exclusive development in Axminster
26th May 2015
Symene Community Land Trust & Hastoe officially opens new housing development
2nd June 2015
29th May 2015

Champagne corks were popping at Sully House in Clovelly Road Industrial Estate, Bideford as the partners and staff of Haines Watts North Devon LLP, celebrated the group’s national success as ‘Accountancy Firm of the Year’ – Larger Clients. The prestigious award was presented at the 2015 Financial Directors (FDs) Excellence Awards, where Haines Watts was also a close-second to winning the ‘Smaller Clients’ award. This recognition follows on from winning the national award for Small, Medium Size Entities (SMEs’), last year, and ‘Auditor of the Year’ in the SME category for two consecutive years previously in 2012 and 2013.

The 2015 awards, now in their 11th year, were presented by comedian and actor Marcus Brigstocke at a glittering gala dinner held in London’s Grosvenor Square.Hosted by Real Business in association with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and supported by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the awards recognise the UK’s best finance directors and service providers, who are the backbone of Britain’s business community.Unlike other awards judged by a panel of experts, the service provider’s awards are voted for by business owners and finance directors across the UK. It is this that makes winning such an award so special.

John Edwards, Managing Partner Haines Watts North Devon said: “We did it again! Our core client base is owner managed businesses, so to get this endorsement from UK SME business owners and FDs means a great deal to us.Scooping this award is fantastic and to be the only firm to have won in four consecutive years makes me incredibly proud of all of our staff who do an outstanding job for our clients. The partners and I wanted to celebrate this further recognition with the Bideford team, as without their professionalism and dedication we would not achieve the results we do.”

Happy #NationalBirdDay as we celebrate one of our rare favourites - The Willow Tit!
Sadly this quietly coloured beauty has become Britain's fastest declining resident bird.
Our Willow Tit project team are working hard to secure its future https://naturebftb.co.uk/the-projects/willow-tit/
