Chartered accountants, Haines Watts South West, with Head Office in Bideford and newly acquired office in Launceston, announces two appointments to their expanding team. This follows the promotion of Louisa Roberts to Associate Partner and newly appointed Toby Vanstone, who has joined as Senior Manager.

Louisa (32) has been with the firm based at Bideford office for three years as Commercial Manager covering everything from tax returns for individuals and working with non-agricultural industries, to looking after business clients with a 1million turnover. In her new role as Associate Partner, Louisa joins the five-strong team of partners and will look after clients primarily based in Devon and Cornwall as well as across the South West region as a whole.

Having worked away for nine years, it’s a return to his roots for 29 – year-old, Bideford-born Toby Vanstone who has been appointed in the new position as Senior Manager. Toby came to Haines Watts from an established Somerset firm of agricultural specialists where over 80% of their portfolio were farmers and the remainder general clients. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and will cover North Devon. Toby comments: “I am really enjoying living and working back in Bideford again – it’s good to be home. Haines Watts has an excellent reputation and offers a good career progression and I am very excited about my new role with this reputable firm of accountants.”

Vince Edwards, Managing Partner of Haines Watts North Devon comments: “It’s part of our mid-term strategy to bring in younger and experienced people at a senior level to continue looking after our existing valued clients, as well as expand the business going forward. We’re delighted, therefore, to welcome these new appointments to our growing team. Louisa has proved to be a great asset with good all-round skills and extensive expertise in her field, and it was a natural decision to promote her to associate partner.” He adds: “As well as owner-managed businesses, Haines Watts South West has over 350 farming clients across the South West and in the new position of Senior Manager, Toby will bring a wealth of agriculture and general accounting knowledge to the table. Born in Bideford, Toby has the local knowledge and provides a friendly and approachable service; he promises to be an excellent fit to the team.”
