Poole Housing Association delivers innovation with renewable heating and hot water from UK based technology manufacture, Minus 7.

Hamish Wilson, CEO – Minus7 explains how by design, fuel poverty can be removed from social housing, helping residents manage energy costs.

Sophie is a single parent with three young children, her son aged 13 who has special needs and two girls aged 10 and 3.

She is very enthusiastic about the Minus7 system and delighted at the low costs she is now paying for heating and hot water, she now pays the same per month as she was previously paying per week!

The mum of three, said: “Now I don’t have to choose between eating or keeping my kids warm”

When Glen King – Director of Glen King PR visited the home before Christmas, Sophie was very excited to share her latest electric bill which showed she was 65 in credit! Sophie said that usually at Christmas time she dreads the thought of opening her energy bills, so ignores them completely until the New Year, because they have always been so high in previous rental properties.

Sophie was very enthusiastic about how easy it was to control the innovative Minus7 heating system and keen to show how it worked; demonstrating the simplicity of regulating the temperature around her home at the touch of a button.

Mike Harrison – Director of Technical Services – Poole Housing Partnership (PHP) stated; that with “government funding Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) we can install renewable heating technology from Minus7 in our homes, which in turn saves our residents money – so why wouldn’t we?”

Happy #NationalBirdDay as we celebrate one of our rare favourites - The Willow Tit!
Sadly this quietly coloured beauty has become Britain's fastest declining resident bird.
Our Willow Tit project team are working hard to secure its future https://naturebftb.co.uk/the-projects/willow-tit/
