29th September 2017PR consultancy host cake and ‘Tea at Three’ in aid of Hospiscare
2nd October 2017The Seaton Nursing Home – Seaton We are looking for a passionate, personable and kind-hearted individual, who enjoys fun at work, with a good team spirit to join our dynamic and friendly team. No two days are the same at The Seaton – from having a drink in the pub with residents to encourage social interaction, to a visit to the Donkey Sanctuary, or enjoying a shopping experience with one of our younger residents, in Exeter City Centre. NVQ Level 2 and relevant experience is desirable but not essential as we place the greatest value in staff with the right personality who echoes our ethos and has a compassionate approach to engagement with our residents and visitors. We offer a competitive salary, extensive training and support and the opportunity for career progression. Working hours can be up to 12 hours, starting at 7am, however we offer flexibility with half days and rota patterns to share weekend work. Our 28-bed care come, located near the seafront of Seaton, believes in making a ‘home away from home’ and creating a relaxing and comfortable environment for both residents and guests that come to visit us. Bringing the outside in, and being part of the local community, contributes greatly to our established philosophy. Our community spirit is reflected in the many activities and events that we organise, for National Care Home Open Day we invited family, friends and local members of the community to our newly refurbished courtyard, for fizz and cupcakes. We celebrated International Teddy Bear’s Picnic Day with tiny tots from local day nursery & pre-school Pink Hippo, sharing their cuddly toys with our residents. A total of 28 members of the Axe Valley Community Choir came to our home to join a former bass singer 92-year-old resident Ron Styles at The Seaton Care Home, for a special reunion performance. With coverage of the day being filmed by BBC spotlight, arranged by Southern Healthcare’s leading external PR company, Glen King PR. In the spirit of the festival season we held our own festival to enjoy a fun filled day will live performances, international foods and planned activities, which was so popular we are looking to make it an annual event. If you feel the above role describes you and can see yourself fitting into our innovative and inspirational care team please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
